Good news incomingI can confirm 100% that escalation is NOT being used at throne of skulls, but stronghold is being used. GW is releasing a statement soon saying that escalation is to be an expansion ("like planet strike") and that Stronghold is an update to the main rule book.
No word yet on whether they will ban the two Aquila Strongpoints (the str D cannon and missile ones) from their tournaments, but like previously said I am 100% that escalation is NOT being used, whereas Stronghold IS.

Apex Biomorphs, max one of each per detachment:
1. Synapse range is reduced but grants Eternal Warrior. Can be taken by any
HQ (not Troop Tervigons or HS Trygon Primes).
2.Twin boneswords, AP2, for every wound inflicted on a 5+ the model regains
a wound. For Primes and Tyrants. Regular boneswords are AP3 by the way.
3. Virus spore barrage (Ordnance, Poisoned 3+, unlimited range, one-shot,
the template remains on the board until the end of the game).
A bit hazy but saw a flamer in there that could be taken by Tyrants and
Tervigons only (AP3?) and a 3+ carapace that grants a 2+ and EW if the
model didn't run/glide.

Cypher
Cypher as a HQ unit can be used in a primary detachment of the following codices.
Adepta Sororitas, Blood Angels, Chaos Space Marines, Grey Knights, Imperial Guard, Inquisition, Space Marines, and Space Wolves. He does not take up a HQ slot and cannot be combined with any army of Dark Angels.
He gets to use his both his pistols to fire twice each per round, and can even use them in close combat. He comes with some nasty special rules, including but not limited to fleet, hit and run, infiltrate, and more. Not to mention his sword gives him shrounded.
He is quite the powerful character, and point cost wise, is not that bad. There is the issue of extra victory point conditions when Cypher is fielded across from Dark Angels, and a -1 leadership penalty to your Warlord if you take him. Otherwise I see him as having some very powerful abilities that should make him quite powerful, even with the drawbacks.
